Walking through the woods this afternoon, I found a little window through the ice.
I only had a 300mm telephoto, but it worked just fine. ![]() |

I like the curves of the water and ice. My only suggestion is a cropping off of the out of focus foreground.

I agree this is a beautiful photo but I don't know what I'm looking at! Is it the surface of a frozen pond or river?

aaaahhhhhh!!! I'm usually good at describing photos --- guess I slipped up this time!
This is a natural hole in the ice on top of a stream. We're looking at the ice (reflecting the blue sky) over fast running water and the rocks beneath. sorry... |
