Heh heh! I used a freebie app called Photoscape, available at:
http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/index.php After installing (I'm using Windows XP), go into the Editor and open your picture. Then choose: Filter | Make a box | The box that shows on the right side - High That's it! edit: I should probably point out that the upper-left and lower-right corners are still there, they're just "white." Thank you Mugmar, Ordo and Cal.
So far, I think this is the coolest trick I've found using Photoscape, but I don't have much experience with photo editing software. And I just found this effect by fooling around and trying to find something interesting to post to this forum. BTW, I don't think Photoscape has any real "help" or guides.
