Okay, here's my try at this. I think all the required elements are here. C&C welcome.

Hi Turnbill,
You've got some great reflections working there in glass and in those reflections you've got some shadows. That is something I was hoping to see, not just shadows and reflections but shadows in the reflections. Great work. I don't see any light patterns but you've got two out of three and that is what was asked for.

When I see those distorted reflections in the windows in your shot and in many shots in my collection, I wonder how much tension or pressure is being exerted on the glass by the frame. If you walk up and put your hand on the glass, how much pressure would it take to break it, an ounce, a pound.....

BTW, an interesting fact comes to mind here. Did you know that glass is not a solid? It is actually a very viscous liquid. Measurements taken on glass in old historic buildings shows that window glass is thicker at the bottom than at the top. What does this have to do with photography? Nothing! But it is interesting!

Great capture.I think Iwalked by these Boston Buildings several times a few years ago while attending a convention in Boston.

The seeming minor uneveness in the glass panes adds a really nice touch to the reflections. As Col noted they may be due to the oft quoted fact that glass is not really a solid but a super-cooled liquid with infinite viscosity.

Glass can actually be made as strong as if not stronger than concrete. So it can serve to be more than decorative.

Good work, aloha.
