Almost like freeway traffic on this stretch of the beach near our house. Patrol vehicles were plenty busy last night. Then along came the birds to crisscross the tire tracks.

That's some picture Walt. I was born and raised in southern ca. But, I haven't lived there for 20 years now. Last I new they weren't allowed to drive on the beaches out there. Have they changed that?
They do let us drive on some of the beaches out here but, not all of them. -John ![]() |

In Oregon, all beaches are open to the public. There are no private beaches. Vehicles are allowed on the beach if access is provided. I think they'd frown on blazing your own trail to get to the water!
Walter, those tracks all look alike. Were they created by privately owned vehicles or by government owned vehicles used to groom the beach? Cal |

Private vehicles are not allowed on the beaches. But, there are plenty of lifeguard ATVs and Jeeps, as well as city maintenance vehicles removing trash at night and smoothing out the sand after high winds or waves. So, morining is a good time to spot these tracks (some days)

Cool image, Walter. Would have been tough to guess what it was if you hadn't said.
Goldwinger - I was born and raised in southern CA, too. Haven't lived there in 25 years. But, been to Georgia on the way up here. Patty |
