Gee, Selvin, it must have taken you weeks to fish all those strips through the wire!

Your fence is astonishingly like this artwork I photographed yesterday in a schoolin the Peak District at the eastern edge of Cheshire. They live in a historic sheep farming area, with some of the first woollen and cotton mills of the industrial revolution at the foot of the hills.

The children had used the same weaving technique to create these models for a biblical Creation display to be used in the summer in Chester's mediaeval Mystery Plays, at the other, western edge of Cheshire.

I was there with another (real/professional)photographer friend I inveigled along with with his top-flight Nikon kit who was doing the job properly. Meanwhile I played with my little toy. It was unkindly noted that their Noah was clearly modelled on me.

There's not much I like better than a child's creativity. Thanks for shairng these.

Alan,

The use of weaving as a child's first actvities in pre-school are to me one of the great things about the whole, idea of sending kids to pre-school.

They learn patience, manipulative skills, social skills, colors, and of course repetetive patterns.

I probably still have some of my kids'. Thanks for sharing these patterns.

Aloha
