I'm normally not a fan of the super silky water/waterfall shots, but sometimes it does really enhance the shot. In this case (an archived shot) Grotto Falls in the Smoky Mountains had very little water flowing over it. I tried to "stop" the water, but it did not look right. Here it is at a slow shutter speed. I think it works well here and gives the shot a bit of a mystic feel.

I love the shot. I'm a sucker for what I call "fuzzy water"! I know Selvin doesn't like it but that's his choice.

Cal is right, I'm not a fan of the fuzzy waterfall effect but in your case the effect is well contrlled and the results are beautiful. Aloha |
