I ran across these when I was organizing some photo files--they seemed to be perfect for this category. The statue is of one of the Buffalo Soldiers-an all African American cavalry unit organized following the civil war. The flag and Statue are in a small park in Junction City, Kansas. JC is adjacent to Fort Riley, where the Buffalo Soldiers served in the army.

Very nice, I especially like the statue, but both are neat pictures. Never thought about doing a flag shot from this angle, it worked out really well.

Both very nice shots but the flag pole by far my fav.
