These are archival shots taken when I was experimenting with the "Magic Hour". For the first photo shoot our photo club was trying to capture the moonrise as it passed over the Waikiki skyline. However the low hanging clouds fouled that up. Instead I decided to shoot the magic hour. On the second we were on a photo shoot for fireworks and to pass the time away I decided capture the skyline at various hours.

While both are nice, I too like #2 the best.
Nice work. |

I like them both, but #1 is my favorite. It looks like a sleeping city.

Looks like the lights of the city are reflecting off the clouds. Cool shot.

The lights are reflecting off the clouds from the moon. I love that effect. Ive toned down the city lights a bit. They seemed to overexposed to me. Any better?

Folks,
Thank you for your kind comments. The wind was howling and for Honolulu, cold.... 69 degrees F. Bynx, I agree your touch adds quite a bit. |

I like #2 which suggests that all the tourists in those buildings are still asleep, suffering from too much sun, shopping or partying. As quiet and peaceful as it ever gets on the island.
