"Cats?" Ha, that would make sense - but I forgot that was a movie. Hint - they are friends.

Mugmar Jan 31, 2008 10:51 AM

The "Lion King"?

Nice Steiff. The best stuffed animals you can get:cool:

tigerwings1st Jan 31, 2008 1:44 PM

"Lion King" would work, but it's not what I had in mind. You see 3 friends in my photo.
Yes, I love Steiff and I have way too many! So now I sell them on line. I bet that's the way a lot of people get started on ebay!

Bynx Jan 31, 2008 2:33 PM

It wouldnt be Tigger and Friends would it?

tigerwings1st Jan 31, 2008 2:40 PM

Nope! Think Steve Martin.

Mugmar Jan 31, 2008 2:47 PM

Ah Yes, "The Three Amigos"

tigerwings1st Jan 31, 2008 2:48 PM

You got it! :-) The Three Amigos

Bynx Jan 31, 2008 2:55 PM

I try not to think of Steve Martin. He is my least favorite person trying to be funny. But 3 amigos comes to mind. Or perhaps Dead Cats Dont Wear Stripes.

I was so far in left field I was thinking of "Born Free."

A great photo, but I don't think I would have gotten this one

Has Cats been made into a movie. I have seen the touring stage production which was outstanding. I also have a video (purchased) of one of their performances. Not sure about a movie, however.

Bynx Jan 31, 2008 7:19 PM

Cats the Musical is available on DVD only. I dont believe it was ever released as a movie. It was shot over a month in the London theatre and does a good job if you ever saw the play live.

"Dead Cats Dont Wear Stripes." What?! Is that really a movie title? So you're the movie buff? Hey, what's the matter with Steve Martin!

I enjoy all of you guy's sense of humor.

Dead Men Dont Wear Plaid doesnt quite fit the picture. As for Steve Martin, there is nothing wrong with him that 15 years of holidays on some remote Greek Island wouldnt help. Im not a movie buff. But my head is chock full of useless information. But I cant find my glasses. Go figure.

Dead Men Dont Wear Plaid - LOL , I knew that sounded familiar.

What? Not even "The man with two brains", the only film worthy of standing alongside "Young Frankenstein" (Mel Brooks)?

"Roxanne"? A town-warming tale? Wth real science & a tribute to real literature?

Sadly, I don't have ready photographic access to two brains in jars, or any burning buildings. I bet you could have, if you tried, Bynx!

Alan, my appreciation of humor comes from Laurel & Hardy (I have 97 of their 105 movies), Buster Keaton (I have most of his movies), Harold Lloyd (since he kept his films to himself and his daughter only recently released them, I only have about 20 of his movies), Charlie Chaplin (I own most of his better films), the likes of Steve Martin fall far short. I have 3 Amigos but prefer to see Martin Short and Chevy Chase. I have to admit that Martin was ok as the singing Egyptian on SNL.
