I am thinking of a movie that was released in the 1960s in Cinerama format. Cinerama was one of the first wide-screen formats that was widely used. Originally Cinerama used three synchronized projectors which projected the left, center, and right sections of the screen. You could see a vertical line where they overlapped slightly.
This photo was shot at the Boeing Aviation Museum located on Boeing Field in Seattle, Washington. ![]() Cal |

I remember it as "Those Magnificent Men and their Flying Machines. I think I saw it at a Cinerama theater in Hollywood. I was in the Navy and stationed in Long Beach at the time. It was about a 30 minute drive to downtown Hollywood. I don't remember anything else about the city since I was interested only in the movie. When it was over I drove straight back to the base.
(edit) I just did a search and the correct title is "...in their Flying Machines". I also learned that the movie is available on DVD. Who knew? Cal |

Mugmar, surely you must remember Terry Thomas....the epitome of Snidley Whiplash. He was great.
