Very interesting shot. I am assuming this is an upright piano. What is the white between the hammers and strings? I've seen the works of a lot of pianos but nothing like that. It looks like sheets of plastic.

That's a neat observation Calr.
It's the sourdine felt. The pick looked better with it down. And it's a vertical, may be one of the best verticals you can find out there. |

Both shots very interesting.... in photo #1, the colours (green, red and blue... is that also felt) lead nicely, diagonally through the photo.
The 'wood / metal' feel of the second one feels 'classic'. Paul |
