A couple of my favorite things. I have lots. This is a picture of our new camper. We hope to sell the house and move into the camper in a year and travel around until we're tired of it. Could be years I hope.

And what's a camper without a campfire. My granddaughter and nephew enjoying strawberry marshmallows.

Now that sounds like a great time, especially for a photographer.

Those travel trailers are great for touring around the country but is that really camping. Pulling into an RV park for a night or a week, hooking up to water, electricity, putting up the tv antenna and watching tv--I ask again is that really camping. My wife and I like to tent camp. We generally camp in state parks where there are restrooms and showers just a short walk away, where water is available from a convenient spigot, but no electricity. That's still not true camping but it is a little closer.
This has been a pet peeve of mine ever since my folks got a travel trailer about 40 years ago. I used to tease them on the same subject. But, you know, it's like talking to a brick wall. OK! I've spoken my piece. Now as to the photos, very well done. Cal |

Cal,we also tent camped for many, many, many years. There are no water, electricity, showersor sewer hookups at this campground and you'll notice you can't see another camper either. We also generally have stayed in state and national parks even when we tented cross country and back. Okay, in our new camper, we do have a generator and can carry 60 gallons of water with us. I know what you mean about real camping though. We often said the same thing but this will become our movable home. Happy tenting! Thanks for the comment. |

Nice. I wish I could pull something that big. I don't know if it's "camping" but it's a lot more enjoyable than a hotel room (and a lot more sanitary).

Sounds like you would like my kind of camping Cal. Airport terminals, train stations, subway tunnels, behind billboards, on sandy beaches, in farmer's fields, in shady woods. All with just a backpack and a sleeping bag. Aaahhh those were the days.
