Shot this after the Dreamcatcher as an afterthought.

Bynx,

From a technical standpoint well executed. Like my submission the content is underwhelming.

Nice tomato red car tho...

Aloha

Selvin you make a very good point. The purpose of these challenges is to get us off our butts and out there shooting to meet the criteria. This pic does that but its nothing to look at. As I stated it was an afterthought while I was outside shooting another pic for this challenge. But the main point you made was that the photo should look good as well as being technically correct. I will try better in the future. Thanks.

Bynx,

You raise a most interesting issue. As an individual should we not try to meet not only the minimum standards incorporated in the rules of the challenge but aslo forge ahead and encapsulate some creative threads?

As you've diligently noted many times the idea is to see things not only as they are but what we would want them to be.

Fundamentally we are looking at shadows on a screen or paper and our brain is adding interpretation to these shadows. Many of the shadows incite us as members of this culture, similarly, we all see faces with eyes, noses etc. but for the grace of God we could have been like the first members of some remote tribes who saw not faces but shadows akin to Rorshach blots.

It's like a lay person looking at the first printout out of lunarscapes in the early sixties. I know it's important but what am I looking at?

Rambling thoughts on a hot sunny Tuesday in uptown Manhattan.

Aloha
