As I left my driveway to shoot the poppies, a neighbour from down the road and his family happened by. I met them in the same way once before, but failed to photograph this delightful group. Last time, the smaller of the two little girls was in a backpack on Dad's back.
The huge holly archway in the background is a valuable landmark when directing visitors, as few houses round here have their names displayed. I often have to redirect lost delivery men, in spite of satnav, which gets them to my door.If I didn't know the correct house, I used to send them round the corner to the Post Office/shop who know everyone. But it's just closed for good, so I'll be busier answering the door. 1/323s, f/5.7, ISO 100, 43mm equiv. |

I love it, Alan! Great job. Every shot you post makes me want to come visit. You live in beautiful surroundings.
