Default New challenge..Dec 16-29..Editing Fun

Back to some post editing fun. Since the holidays are here and it seems like alot of us are going in a million different directions I have chosen three different types of editing options, one as easy as a click and two others a bit more time consuming but so worth the time and learning curve.
I hope when you need to pull yourself away from the hustle and the bustle you will come to your computer and enjoy some of these editing options.

1) The first is OOBs. Out of Bounds.
There are several tutorials out there but I find the one done by Serrator to be superior. There is a masking plug-in needed for Elements but it wasnt any problem for me. This tutorial is how I taught myself layers and other photoshop options.

Here are my first OOBs that I did several years ago. I used one Image for each.

Here is the tutorial

2) Next is making a photomosaic. Robert Silvers developed this technique while still a student at MIT. He also happened to attend my kids small private high school.
Take a look at his work here.

We are lucky to have the ability to load our image to the free download and the software will make the photomosaic for us. The only lengthy step here is loading your images.

Once again there are several mosiac sites but we found this one to work well. If you try another, please let us know how it worked for you.

3) Lastly, a one click quicky. Turn your image into something that looks like a minature. It's called 'tilt-shift'.

Here is the site.

As always, try to take photos for the challenge but I'll understand if you have some fantastic archive shots to play with and share.

The mere mention of Editing Fun conjures up all sorts of things from people. Im all in favor of this challenge. Of the 3 editing choices the first one I have tried before but unsuccessfully. The second Ive had some fun with. The third Ive never done before. Im up for the challenge. If I was loaded and could buy any lenses I wanted and as many as I wanted Lensbabies wouldnt be on my list. Im not in favor of that sort of look. On the contrary Ive done lots of thinking how to make a miniature scene have a greater depth of field so it all looks real. Its done by focus stacking software.
