I counted twenty flags in the first photo. Does anyone else agree/disagree. The second photo, though beautiful, brings mixed emotions. Having been a Cub Scout leader in the past, we taught/learned all about flag etiquette. In my opinion, representing the flag by painting it all over a vehicle is not proper. It does not meet the standards set forth for proper display of the flag. Others will disagree with me.
A few months ago, the police department in Hillsboro, Oregon built and opened to the public a beautiful dog park in honor of Hondo, a department police dog that killed in the line of duty. It is a beautiful park where people can take their dogs and let them run free in a fenced area and play with the other dogs. It is divided into two parts, one for small dogs and the other for larger dogs. In the large section, they install a fire hydrant painted in the stars and stripes motif. It wasn't long before someone complained that it was wrong to let dogs do what they do with fire hydrants. This person and others like her wanted the hydrant removed. The Police department compromised by building a small fence around the hydrant and planting some nice flowers around it. That satisfied everyone. Cal |

I agree with Cal, The first shot is first rate. The second one, Although a very good shot, the car painted as a flag does "break the rules" of etiquette for the US Flag.
