Whoa! Is that a hot air baloon? Nice angle and color. Also, welcome to the forum.

Beautiful! You caught the flag billowing in thewind so perfectly with the sun peeking through the thin fabric.

Wow! If Bynx had posted this shot, I would suspect he was up to some of his old tricks.
I don't think that is a balloon. I doubt you'd be able to see through both sides. However, the curvature at the top has me puzzled. Cal |

It looks to me as if the sun is shining through the flag and the sun is also silhouetting the clouds.

This was a standard 3'x5' flag. We have it mounted to a pole that angles out from the house, much like you would see around many neighborhoods on Memorial Day or July 4th.
I was out front playing with my new 30D and the sun was starting to go down on the other side of the flag. This caught my eye and I ended up in the right place at the right time when the wind caught the flag just right and this shot presented itself. (Of course, there are a number of other shots that didn't turn out quite so well.) <grin> All I did in PP was to tweak the brightness/contrast, bump the color level a notch and sharpen. I guess moments like these are what drive me to play with different ideas. Thank you all for the words of encouragement! |
