This is the staircase to the upper level of the newly restored light keepers house at the Pt. Cabrillo light station. I need a wider angle lens. Maybe the Sigma 10-20mm is in order.

Steve,
That first shot with the end of the pathway shrouded a bit in mist is a winner. Very nice framing. I found the Carillo lighthouse staircase good but not as enticing. Aloha |

The second shot is really nice, but it suffers from comparison by being with the first; it's really outstanding. Great work.

That first one is a great shot.
![]() The Sigma 10-20 is a great lens. It would really give a new perspective to the second one. Mugmar |

Thank you Liu and Paul. Mugmar, thanks for you impression of the Sigma lens. I have heard several others on this forum give it thumbs up.
I am so depressed. We are going on almost 4 weeks with the fires here in Northern California. The air quality has been in the very unhealthy to hazardous levels so it's risky even going outside. I have a brand new lens I can't even go outside to test. It's a 200-400mm tele so I can't even take inside pics very well. OK, I feel slightly better venting. Thanks, Steve |

The first shot reminds me of a beautiful painting my mother once had. It was a beautiful tropical forest, open in the center, but the view somewhat obscured by a mist. She always said it was her "Garden of Eden".
