This is an archival shot taken earlier this year at the floating lantern celebration (Toro Nagashi). Note the photographer is in ocean water waist deep shooting away at the lanterns.

I love it. I pity the poor photographer if he/she loses his/her balance and falls into the water. Salt water and cameras don't get along well.

My kind of photographer. I used to go into the water with my 35mm film SLR camera to get closer to the subject as all I had was a 50mm lens.

Calr, Spock,
Thanks for your comments. For the record I was also in the water but not waist deep more like ankle deep. Yep, I was worried about slipping in with my camera. Aloha |
