If you want to build a snomobile do you have to buy a snomobile kit or can you build it all from a generic box of parts?

Bynx, I think you need the kit. Although the kit probably contains standard parts, it also contains parts specific to the object being built.
Nice shot. Cal |

This snowmobile was built from a kit--Technic Set #8272. You can also download the PDF instructions from lego.com to build if you already have a large collection of Lego pieces. There are online places like lego.com or bricklink to buy the pieces you don't have.

Dr Spock,
Whoa there. I can see if they had things like this when I was growing up, I wouldn't have grown up. Thanks. Aloha |

I keep telling my wife I never had Lego as a kid and I want some now! She just pats me on the back and laughs!

Calr, you could take her to Brickfest (http://www.brickfest.com). It's an Adult Fans Of Lego gathering. It's happening over in Portland, Oregon this weekend. The Brickfest Expo is open to the public on Sunday March 29th from 11am to 4pm at the Oregon Convention Center.
Selvin, we didn't have Lego Technics sets when I was growing up. So I'll have to redo my childhood now. :-) |
