Today was a lovely Kansas autumn afternoon so I ventured out to capture some of it. Of course I got lots of trees and reflections of trees in what water remains in streams and ponds around here.
Then I saw the row of hay bales and thought they might work for this challenge. Later I noticed the row of steel fence post along a little gravel side road. The filtered sunlight originally attracted my attention, but looking at the results made me decide that they too might qualify. A most satifsying outing. The last shot is one I took earlier in the year. The top of the picnic table in a local park was just so cool at the right angle. |

The colors on the second one are so beautiful. You can really sense the late time of day and the late time of the season.

Really love the second one, but I also have a soft spot for hay bales. Reminds me of horses and cool mornings, feeling their warmth as I tossed hay into hay racks. Ah, those were the days.
