It doesn't thrill me as much as your other work. I haven't had my coffee yet this morning so, I apologize if that was blunt.
I wonder what it would look like if you only colorized what's beyond the arch? BW everywhere except what's on the other side of the gateway? Just an early morning thought. It's a tough subject because there is only one area of focus to really work with. |

I think your application of selective color would have been better if you had retained the original color of the leaves on the walkway. Your render is too red.

I visted the former estate of the founder of General Motors. Just before I got there I took a pic of a church and changed the WB to shadow to boost the color. I forgot to change it back. As a result I had to color correct with a White Balance plugin for Photoshop. My original post here was before that correction.

There is only one thing wrong with this shot, and that is that the leaves appear over saturated. No doubt in the color image, they wouldn't look this way, but with the B&W background they don't look real.
Just lower the saturation of the leaves only, and in my opinion, this would be a perfect shot for this challenge. Dave |

It would be fun to do this same shot in the winter with the snow. Then the doorway would have the snow or everything but the doorway would be in snow.
