Default Shadows -- A Couple Archive Shots

I'll get things started with a couple of archive shots and then I'll go out and try to find some new shots.

Both of these shots involve stairs and the shadows cast by the railings.

I don't think I have posted the first one previously but the second has been posted a couple times.

Those are pretty amazing shots. Exactly what I was hoping people would submit. It shows a lot of imagination.

I remember seeing the second one before, a great shot! The funny thing is that I was out last weekend and was noticing shadows of railings and such like. Looking forward to this challenge!

Like mtngal, I recall seeing the 2nd photo before, and it's a great set of shapes made by the shadows.

The first photo is also a nice capture, imho, Cal. The 4 little groves etched in each step add an extra dimension and interest to that composition.
