These were taken recently. As stated earlier, flowers are perfect for this type of shot. These were both taken with my Pentax K100D with the Tamron 70-300 macro lens.
First some iris' taken on a recent trip to NJ. Patty |

This second one was a dandelion in my yard the morning after I received the lens. I couldn't leave for work without trying something with it. The blade of grass to the left is little more in focus than the seed pod. But, I didn't think it was bad for being my first attempt and hand held.

The shot of the iris blossoms is stunning. They are beautiful. The dandelion shot has a narrower DOF. Well done!

Patty,
Stunning work especially on the iris. The purple color looks so intense. Aloha |

Thanks everyone. I love the color purple. And, iris' are one of my favorite flowers with roses. Oh, and orchids and violets.
