February Eclipse from South Florida.
K10D, Sigma 100-300mm F4, & 1.5X TC. I have taken sharper photos, atmosphere was a little hazy, completely covered before uncovering moon. Fist photo taken at 8:45pm, last 10:20pm. Ed |

Nice series. I tried shooting the eclipse also, but they did not come out nearly as well as yours did

Great sequence. I especially like the orange glow of the moon during the total eclipse. The first time I saw that, I thought it was the eeriest thing I had ever seen. For those who have never seen a total lunar eclipse, the moon really is orange when the eclipse is full. I always thought it was caused by light from the earth reflecting off the moon's surface. I just learned recently it is caused by the sun shining through the earth's atmosphere that causes it.

Cool series, Ed.
I've given up trying to get any shots. It's either cloudy or too hazy. Guess we have another week still. Patty |
