This is the first time I have tried taking a picture of the moon.
I have to admit it took a bit of experimentation to get even this humble result. Canon 30D Sigma 70-300 |

Thats not a bad shot at all Hagar. Clear and sharp detail. What more can you ask for?

A very nice effort given your equipment's limits. Obviously, you had to crop it -- with a very nice and sharp result.

Thank you Bynx and Walter.
Yes, this is a 100% crop with a very small amount of sharpen added. |

Nicely done. Please explain what you mean by 100% crop. I don't run accross that term very often--in fact this is the first time I've heard it in a couple years.

Hi Cal,
To tell you the truth I have forgotten where I heard the term first. I just mean that what I posted was cropped out of the original sized picture without any enlarging. |
