Here is a little closer look at Big Chico Creek in the upper park area of the canyon. Also taken in the spring. ![]()

thanks for the clarification, that makes me feel better - I was jealous of your green. I'm already tired of brown and am looking forward to winter's arrival.

Yes, we are in full blown brown here as well. This shot of a portion of a Chinese rock wall was taken a few days ago in 100°F plus heat. Look familiar? ![]()

Hi Steve
I really love the capture of the 'summer heat feel' that you've shared in these. Though I've not been to any part of the Americas, I've heard (& seen) from quite a few instances that California is quite similar to some parts of Australia - and again your photos display that. I particularly like both photos of the Big Chico creek... makes me want to go 'bush-walking' in that area. Hope you'll get reprieve from the heat. Paul |

Thanks Paul,
I love California because you can find almost any climatic zone that be can be found on the planet. Forrest, desert, beach, glacial, and just about everything in between. As a young boy my friends and I would go walkabout in Bidwell park everyday of the summer. What great times.
