Here's a panorama taken with a Sony Nex 5. You hold down the shutter and pan across the scene 'til it stops. The camera automatically generates the stitched image.

I love both images. My only nit pick in the first one is the jet contrail. It is small and almost looks like a scratch on the image. I think it could easily be edited out.
