Any fans of the TV show Deep Space Nine out there? I use this as my Windows wallpaper, and get some interesting comments sometimes.

Someone saw this on my laptop and asked where I got the wallpaper. When I told him I had taken the picture, his reply was that he didn't know I was an astronaut. It does tend to look a lot like it was taken from above, but I was quite grounded at the time.
I really thought the formation in the upper left center looked a lot like the wormhole opening on the Star Trek DS9 series. No aliens were seen exiting it, though. brian |

It's even more impressive after reading your description of how you took the picture from the ground. Amazing. Loved DS9, btw.

Amazing perspective and a lovely image without knowing you were "grounded"

I know how you did it. You had a WI-FI link with one of the people aboard the ISS who beamed the photo back to you. That had be a powerful WI-FI. People are wondering what that big dish on top of your Smart Car is for! LOL!
