"Mr. Tambourine Man" by Bob Dylan is the obvious one. I can also see "The Orange Man" by Sam Cooper.

Yes, "Mr. Tambourine Man" is the one I had in mind. This fellow was one of 3 or 4 tambourine players that joined about a dozen bongo players and others at a weekly "jam session" at the foot of the pier here in Huntington Beach.
