The economic prosperity of the Gilded Age spread to resort cities like Hot Springs, and Bathouse Row saw the construction of ornate Victorian Structures like these two adjoining buildings.

The two above, however, were torn down in the early twenties to make way for the even more elaborate Quapaw Bathouse, which has just reopened as a family health spa after extensive renovation.

Those folks really love thier bathouses. The Quapaw gets even more elaborate than its predecessors. |
