One sure way to put a teenager onto the floor howling with laughter is to show him a picture of a high school basketball team from the late 60's or early 70's. "You actually played in those?????"

These were the starters on my high school team in the 1971-72 season. (Scanned from a very low quality HS annual)

Today's baggy monstrosities don't deserve the name of shorts as they drift further and further below the knees.

nice approach to the challenge... buildings almost instantly come into mind but not clothes...

Now, I get to be the bad guy and fight the battle against players who think it's "cool" to let their soccer shorts sag. I keep offering to pull them up.....forcefully :evil: Of course, when I was a player, I "never" gave any coaches problems...lol.

I brought this one back up to the top to post a different "Today" shot. Hard to believe the skinny 16 year old with glasses wound up still in high school.

Yes, you captured something very interesting... those fashion changes.

Even though I'm only mid 30's, I remember the shorts of "old days". Boys shorts get longer these days, though I must admit there are plenty of SHORT girls' shorts around!! (anyone care to post?!)
