Must say love your gas price. On Vancouver Island it is $ 5.75 gal. $12.50 for a six pack of beer.

Thanks for the comments! There is an oil well within a quarter of a mile from where the "Then" photo was taken. I guess that's why the prices are better here. We are right in the middle of oil country.
Oakey, I guess the upside to the high prices would be it discourages drinking and driving, unfortunately even when it is independent of one another.

True, but the high prices drive those unable to afford to drive to drink.

Yep, I can remember when we were kids and my dad had a challenge for us to find the cheapest gas. If I remember right, the price was $0.25 then. I must say I do see prices close to $3.19, but haven't had to pay it yet. It was $3.65 a few weeks ago in NY.
