I am unable to exactly match the location of these two shot since the area has changed so much. Both shots are probably within 30 feet of each other. This location is next to the El Monica light rail maintenance facility and the El Monica light rail station. When the "then" photo was taken, the Westside Light Rail was not in operation yet and the Park 'n Ride parking lot was empty. This allowed for a clear view of the "then" subject from a variety of angles. Now, ten years later, the Westside light rail is in full operation, and the parking lot is full. At least one street was realigned. The "now" shot was taken from that street.

Ready? Hang on to your hats!

The barn, the farmhouse next to it and those beautiful trees are gone, replaced by this condo complex.

What a change.

I dearly love tha first picture. I am a sucker for "old falling-down" or neglected buildings.

Thanks for posting these Cal
