I guess that part of the shoreline isn't so pristine. Are those timbers to the left of the piece of pipe?

Couple pieces of what appeared to be wood trash, could have floated there, yes. And we were not any where near civilization at this point.

Any thing is possible, but this was taken from our cruise ship, the tree's were to thick to see through. This was like a flat place, not far above water line.
