Default Through the wormhole: Alley

Here in HB there is a narrow pedestrian alley downtown with planters and murals. Here is a color version.

And a B&W version. Which do you prefer?

Hi Walter,
I think there is something to be said about each. The color is beautiful but the BW version seems the put more emphasis on the view beyond the door.

The red jacket on the person in the door really draws the eye past everything else to the door in the color version. that being said, I prefer the color version.

I like B&W photography but in this case, I prefer the color version. The B&W looks flat. Perhaps you should try a different color filter that would turn those palm trees a darker tone of gray and increase contrast overall. Just a suggestion.

Agree with Tullio the contrast needs bumping in he BW version. But the Red is a real eye catcher
