After spending as many years in Germany as I did, I had to bring one home. It now rests at my parents house:-) (My wife made me do it:roll

Mugmar,
Having been guilty of the same behaviour, I'd say you actually got off somewhat easy. Aloha |

Nice shot of the clock but a slight bit crooked.
We have a small Cuckoo clock in a box out in the garage somewhere. Tried to sell it at a garage sale last summer but nobody wanted it! It is from Switzerland. However it was not purchased there. I think my mother bought it on the QVC channel! I don't mind the hourly sound of the Cuckoo but it is a real bugger to get it to keep accurate time. It is adjusted by sliding the ornament on the bottom of the pendulum up or down. Problem is, a very slight adjustment can result in 2-3 minute fast or slow per day. I have the same problem with a grandfather clock. After a couple of months of tweaking it, I've finally got it so it loses about a half minute a week. I can live with that. When I wind it every Saturday, I correct the time. Cal |

Hey Cal, It's not the clock that's crooked, the house is leaning to one side:blah:
ThanksSelvin & Calfor the comments. Mugmar |

It is defineately unique. Is it one of the Black Forest cuckoo clocks? My sister had a little one..I loved it..and wouldnt mind having one. This one is a tad over the top for my decorating style lol.

DD,
This clock is straight from the Black Forest!! There is an area there that has many shops that sell these things. You can get one that is very tiny to over 7feet tall. It's all up to your taste and how much money you have to throw at them!!! Mugmar |
