Many communities are now converting their street names to respect local ethnic strengths. Honolulu has been doing this for some time with its Chinatown Street signs which are written in both Chinese and English. This shot combines a turn of the century styled lamp post posing as a street sign holder.

New York has both a Big Apple and a Big Button. This button and thread combo annouces the start of the garment district of course.

Nice. That's one big button for nhmom to sew. :-) It seems to have one too many holes.

Great work on both shots. I may be big but I don't need a button that large.:lol:

That is one huge button! I'll stick to all the little ones I have. Although, threading that needle would probably be easier for my aging eyes.:-)
