These are photos of 2 Kansas landmark buildings.
The first is at the Kansas Capitol Building--I was leaning over the edge of an upper floor to shoot down several stories to the ground level lobby area. The second was taken at the Cottonwood Falls Courthouse which features a number of really nice architectural features. This was taken from the top of one of the curving staircases. |

When I first glanced at your Kansas Capital Building, I almost thought it was a miniature model, the people didn't look real to me, especially in relation to the flags. It's an interesting picture, or am I just too tired?

They're real people--a tour was underway on the floor below me. It's a beautiful building and has been undergoing extensive renovations. The interior is mostly completed but the outer copper dome has been covered in scaffolding for 2 years!
