The Upsy part.

Nice shot. Good perspective and DOF on this stately structure.

Thanks Walter. This is a 3-shot hand-held HDR. Gotta love that Photomatix Pro. It really does its job well.

Cool, Bynx. So, did you lie on the ground?:-)

Bynx Mar 13, 2009 1:15 AM

Couldnt lie on the ground Patty. There was shrubs in front of me and I had to be back far enough to see all the way to the top. I just stood there and shot. Photomatix helps line up the elements when it does the HDR magic.

Bynx - you've done a wonderful job with a lovely interesting old church building.

Really brings out a good perspective to do this "upsy". I love the number of sides it has to the steeple.

Indeed, I can see that Photomatix Pro has again done a great job for you. But still the principle of GIGO applies: garbage in - garbage out. So as your source photos are anything BUT garbage, you always have such great outcomes.

Thanks a lot Paul. Your comments are always welcome and make me feel like my time wasnt wasted.

I think you've done a great job, Bynx. Is photomatix a free program and, if not, what is the cost? Also, does it do stitching?

Trojansoc Mar 13, 2009 10:31 PM

Very nicely done, Bynx. Looks like a beautiful old building.

Bynx Mar 14, 2009 2:42 AM

Photomatix Pro sells for $99. Its a standalone software and doesnt do stitching. Its job is to align 2, 3 or more pictures with same fstop but different shutter speeds so the best lighting of each photo parts are used to create the final high dynamic range photo.
