Very cool photo . I can only imagine the effect had you used a cross screen filter!!!

Tullio

I only used a polarising filter to reduce some of the glare.

I ditto everything that has been said. This shot is amazing.

Regarding Selvin's suggestion for a star or cross filter, it might be interesting if the filter produced very fine lines. It has been my experience that with pictures of this type where you have high contrast and larger than pinpoint sources of light, the starburst effect can be overwhelming and the original photo is completely lost. It never hurts to try but I don't think the results would be that good.

Selvin did not make the suggestion, Cal. I did and I agree with you. After looking at the photo, I think the cross screen would produce a very intense star effect. However, since a polarizer filter was also used, it can reduce the reflection even further to minimize the effect.
