This picture wastaken in August during a 20 mile bike hike in the Berkshires.

This is a channel that goes thru the center of a small town. It is used for drainage of mountain run off or snow melt. this was taken on a hot August day...not much run off that day.

That looks like a miniature version of the Los Angeles River. That river passes through the L.A. basin in a man-made concrete channel similar to this only about 5-10 times larger. You made a great shot here catching what appears to be water left from a recent rain shower. Good work.

Very colorful.

This shot and Cal's comments brought to mind a TV special about a book called, "The Cadillac Desert". The show highlighted the story of water and the south california experience. One of things mentioned was the cementing in all of of Los Angeles rivers. This became an irony because the water in the rivers became non-existent due to South California's hunger for water.

I hope this isn't happening in your area. You seem have some water flowing.
