This has become one of my favorite shots if not my favorite shot from my April trip to the grand canyon.
The spot is the desert view tower, it was the end of a long day and the clouds were looking like rain but never a drop did fall, but the clouds really did add to the drama of this view with the glimpses of sunlight lighting spots here and there. It's certainly a spectacular view. I wonder whether the crop is quite right, though. My initial suspicion is that it would be more coherent if it were cropped just above the white rock at the left of the image. As it is, I am torn between the sky and the foreground in a way that seems to detract from the overall impact. But maybe that's just me.

Wow! An Awesome picture! I'm not sure I'd crop quite that much of the foreground as what tclune suggested though. Maybe a bit off of the bottom. Or leave it alone But in any case its just such a knock-out picture, the lighting on the cliff wall and the clouds really does grab you.

I agree. If I were going to crop any of the foreground it would be just below the white rock. I think the rock adds scale to the shot. Very nice capture.

Great picture. Every year we (my family and I) talk about visiting the Grand Canyon but for one reason or another it never happens. Once of these days we'll pay a visit to this impressive place.

Brings back memories. The cloud formation is quite impressive.

The clouds are just as impressive as the canyon below. They both seem to have similar depth and flow.
