I love what MTNGAL did showing the rain (or was it snow) and the elk... so here is my attempt to show actual precipitation. This is harder than it looks!

I agree with you - that capturing actual rain / precipitation IS harder than it looks! You've done extremely well with this photo, a powerful image with autumn colours, rain drops (particularly back lit against the shadows, is good) - and brightness too (which is often absent in 'rain' photos!) I like it... very much. I think this is one of the best true 'weather' photos I've seen in this challenge yet! Well done. Paul |

I agree, this is VERY nice! And it can be challenging to capture rain. Snow is fairly easy (that's what I was shooting through on the elk picture).

Really very well done. The use of natural light to capture the rain is perfect. Looks like there should be a rainbow somewhere.

You need a really fast shutter speed to stop the motion of the raindrops but too fast a shutter may actually make the rain hard to see.
