May cause Moire patterns on some monitors. Magnify or shrink cautiously in browser to taste.

It is truly amazing how many different abstract shots one can make using CDs or DVDs. I got a new spindle of "Lightscribe capable" disks a couple weeks ago and was looking at this very view for possibilities.
For those who are not familiar, Lightscribe is a process where with the proper software and a Lightscribe capable CD/DVD burner you can burn labels onto the front (top) of the disk using the same drive you use to burn the data or music. You just flip the disk over so the label side is down and run the software program. There are two downsides. It takes 20 minutes to burn one label. Second, the labels fade over time especially when exposed to UV light like sunlight. Cal |

Creative use of discs.
I like the inkjet printable blank CD/DVDs. I have an Epson inkjet printer with a tray for printing on CD/DVDs. |

Yah! Me too! Lightscribe only does BW whereas my Epson R200 does full color labels.

I've heard that if the ink gets wet it will smudge. Just wondering if that was true or not

Yes, the ink can smudge if it gets wet. You can get smudge-proof inkjet printable CD/DVD media that have a coating to prevent smudging.
