Default White on White - Kitchen

As I was looking around for things that are white, I discovered that white isn't as common as it once was. I don't have much that's plain white. I finally came up with this:

While I was trying to think of something else, I thought about my droid phone and came up with this. I'm not entirely sure that this meets the challenge completely, but I like the shot for some reason.

I guess I would categorize this more as black & white vs white on white. However, I still find the composition and use of available light very agreeable. It really brings out the texture of the various items in the frame.

I like it.

So you want to be a better photographer? Open your eyes and take a look at what is all around you.

I agree with Zig in some ways. Perhaps a tight crop eliminating the black bars would change the dynamics of the photos enough to have them be closer to WonW rather than B&W.

Interesting still lifes'. The shadows are a tad harsh. I think the textured paper reduces the W on W impact. Another factor may be that a direct shot from above would reduce the shadows and perhaps add more pizazz.
