I'm not sure if this fits into any past challenges, but I decided to have a bit of fun (with my limited PSE knowledge)!

Wow... what an interesting effect.
I'm usually not into 'unnatural' looking photos... but this one works for me. Cheers! Paul |

I'd been trying to figure out how you got this effect. The background I think I can figure out, but unless you used a separate layer to keep the hummer sharp, I'm not sure how you managed it. By the way, I like the hummer, always a difficult subject for me.

Thanks Paul and mtngal!
Lol mtngal, you know I'm not very skilled with PP so anything I do has to be simple.... - Select the bird, then invert selection - Go to Filter>Blur>Radial Blur Move - Slider set to 100, Zoom Method, Best Quality Voila!

Thanks for the explanation - I figured you had used the radial blur for the background, just didn't think about doing with with just a selection. It might be an interesting exercise for you if you do almost the same thing - but this time select the bird, then use command-J (PC I think it's control-J) to put the bird only on a separate layer. Then click on the background layer and do your radial blur. I wonder if it would look the same?
