Means photo opps to me. The weather here can be ferocious one day and simply beautiful the next.
Here's a photo taken of Paine's Creek after a Winter storm. ![]() Today, I went out to the Trout Hatchery located in our town of Sandwich. It's a great place to take photos of birds when the rest of the area is covered with snow. And I got a surprise: ![]()

I wondered if you were here during the storm. How did you fair?
The first image is so perfect..the cape cod coast in winter...beautiful. Love the second image...flight against a beautiful blue sky. Did you notice if the boardwalk was damaged while you were in Sandwich? |

Yes we were hunkered down at our house during the storm. Lost power for almost 3 days. But, the generator gave us a chance to keep the house from getting too cold. And a chance to get some water as well. Have not been to the Sandwich as yet. But, also have not heard anything either. Which is usually a good indicator that the boardwalk survived.

Both pictures are just awesome! I love the first one, what a beautiful scene. Hope you are all well in the hard-hit east.

The biggest issue with this storm was the temperature was right around 32 degrees which produced heavy wet snow that fell for a very long time, When the wind started later that night, it just caused many trees to fall over. At one point 87% of our town was without power power I think the last section got the power back on today. As much as I like that sunset shot at Paines creek.I'm really excited about getting a chance to catch that pair of swan flying overhead. It's the first time I've ever seen that.
