Winter in Northern California
 
Winter for me means the massive waterfowl migration is coming to the Sacramento Valley. Millions of waterfowl arrive starting in late September and that means that almost every weekend the weather permits I am out shooting pictures. We don't get much snow in the Valley. This is the kind of white stuff I see during the winter months and it pure beauty to me.

Great shots! We have a lot of Canadian Geese that are permanent residents in the Portland area but not nearly as many as shown here. Wow!

I love the shot o f the birds flying off we have duck in a large number hop e to get them soon with the new camera..

Beautiful shots, like the different wing positions in shot one. The birds almost look too plump to fly. I'm sure it's a noisy place aswell.

The first image looks to be a perfect landing. The second shot looks like a perfect take off of many. Wonderful captures.
