This was taken a couple of weeks ago about 15 minutes from my house. I went out to capture the harsh winter ocean but found something equally interesting on the beach.

I like the first shot...good composition. The water on the second has a strong blue cast...WB issue perhaps?

I'm with you Selvin, winter looks like spring, summer, and fall.

Wonderful shots! I wondered who was going to post a warm-weather winter shot.

Folks, thanks for your comments.
jjdog, It's ironic but I am now in New York and getting to experience a tad of what I left behind in Chicago some 30 years ago. It is refreshingly cold. Glad I am just visiting. Wave01, Well actually some people think we have two seasons in Hawaii, Wet (Winter) and dry.(Summer). It all depends on your perspective. Tullio til you mentioned it I hadn't really looked at the blueish tinge. Maybe an artifact of the compression technique used by my hosting web site. Will need to get back to Hawaii to see what the original file looks like. Paniolo, Lucky we live Hawaii for sure since I'm now in New York experiencing a small amount of the real winter. Mtn Gal, I though about it and thought for sure someone from Down Under or New Zealand would post some warm winter shots. |

That first shot is great.
We woke up to snow and wind blowing. Expected accumulation 6" to 8". Guess I wont be posting any beach shots today ![]() Zig

Well, nobody has address the questions that came to mind when I saw the first shot.
First, did you get a signed model release. Second, does your wife know about this??!! Just kidding. Great shot. Cal
